Jacob Miller
Founder & Principal Consultant
Jacob Miller has spent his career focused on one of the biggest challenges in the life sciences: moving promising science out of the laboratory and toward patients and the market. His experience spans regenerative medicine, biotechnology, regulatory strategy, clinical research, federal program management, and commercialization.
He worked on bioreactor development and bioengineered therapeutics at Harvard Apparatus Regenerative Technology, supported biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies at Complya, conducted oncology clinical research at Hartford HealthCare, and coordinated CMS quality measure development at Yale's Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation. Most recently, he ran a regenerative medicine commercialization program and managed a federally funded portfolio of novel biomanufacturing technology projects at the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI), working across a national network of academic and industry partners.
At Whaleback, Jacob works directly with every client, bringing structure to their programs and helping them build the strategies and partnerships needed to move their technologies forward. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds an MS in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross.
Named for the lighthouse that guides ships into Portsmouth Harbor, Whaleback is based on the New Hampshire Seacoast and works with clients nationwide.
